Edina TV Receives Regional Emmy Award

Jennifer Bennerotte and Scott Denfield accept another Emmy Award for Edina TV.

Connected though we may be—with social media, newspapers and national news—sometimes we depend on more local connections. “I think these days, even though we’ve got so many sources of information, it’s becoming harder and harder to find local information and local news,” says City of Edina video production coordinator Scott Denfeld.
Edina TV offers those local connections. “We try to package that information in an entertaining way,” Denfeld says. And the team is largely successful, with three programs nominated for Regional Emmys in 2017 including Beyond the Badge, Public Art Profiles and On the Job—all shows exclusive to the Edina community. This time, Public Art Profiles—a series of short sessions highlighting public art in the community and the people who make it—walked away a winner. This further illustrates the importance of this community coverage.
