Kenwood Symphony Presents Prokofiev, Dvorak and Mozart

Kenwood Symphony Orchestra presents a free concert featuring 2 piano soloists as well as a full length symphony. Dr. Corey Hamm, who is also a professor of Piano at the University of British Columbia, will perform Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No.3. 15-year-old Mae Monette, winner of the 2019 Minnesota Music Teachers Forum Mozart Competition, will also be featured, performing Movement 1 of Mozart Piano Concerto No. 22. MacPhail Spotlight Series: Fanny and Felix

Catch a glimpse of the Mendelssohn household in the early 1800s: the two oldest children, Fanny and Felix, were equally brilliant, talented, and educated by the greatest music teachers of the day. And yet, Felix was supported to become a leading musician of his age, while Fanny was strongly discouraged from pursuing a musical career. This program is dedicated to Fanny’s life and the astounding quality and range of her compositions.
