Southdale YMCA to Host Jesse Larson, Stokley Williams, Jarrod Lawson and St. Paul Peterson for A Night of Classic Soul on November 6, 2017

Four renowned soul singers join forces for this special Y event. 

• Minneapolis native Jesse Larson rose to fame with his appearance on the 12th season of The Voice, where he reached the finals on the strength of his blues-rock growl. 

• Grammy-nominated vocalist, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Stokley is best known as the lead singer and drummer for legendary R&B group Mint Condition. He has crisscrossed the globe, touring with luminaries like Prince, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, and Alicia Keys. "Terror Trot" Halloween Race

Bring the whole family along to participate in this fun Halloween race. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes, so be sure to dress up. All participants will receive a Terror Trot shirt and a medal. Proceeds go to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, so come out, get some exercise and support a great cause.

HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer

Join the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) in taking
strides to change the course of ovarian cancer at the 2017 HOM Teal Strides for
Ovarian Cancer. Participate in either a 5K run or 2K walk around Rosland Park
in Edina and engage in a variety of family-friendly activities.

Participants are encouraged to register, form a team and

Organization Description: Hammer Residences, Inc. is a Minnesota non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1923 by Alvina Hammer, Hammer provides residential caring support for adult and children with developmental disabilities. Hammer Residences, Inc. serves more than 1500 individuals with a wide range of intellectual disabilities like Autism and Down syndrome. 275 adults reside in 36 group homes and 10 apartment programs in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.
