Yom HaShoah–Holocaust Remembrance

To mark Genocide Awareness Month, Edina hosts a series of programs about human rights and honor the memory of victims of genocide. The third part of the series will feature Fred Amram, a Holocaust survivor. Lecture on Rwandan Genocide

To mark Genocide Awareness Month, Edina hosts a series of programs about human rights. The second part of the series features Dr. Ellen Kennedy, executive director of World Without Genocide and an Edina resident. Kennedy will discuss the Rwandan genocide on its 20th anniversary and speak on the current situation in Congo. On a local front, there will also be a discussion about what is being done in Minnesota to decrease street violence.  Read more about Lecture on Rwandan Genocide

Edina on the Map

The Edina Historical Society presents “Edina on the Map,” the newest exhibition at the Edina History Museum. This concept comes from “Minnesota on the Map,” a previous exhibit that touched on historical events in Minnesota’s history. Now it is Edina’s turn, as neighborhoods and their past are rediscovered. Frank Cardarelle, who worked as a surveyor in Edina, will be available for groups to book for a discussion on specific neighborhoods and their history. Read more about Edina on the Map

HERO Dog Product Launch

HERO, a new Minnetonka-based pet product company is launching a line of “HERO” products to raise awareness, money and hope for rescue dogs.  The company, which will donate a percentage of profits to rescue dog causes, is launching the brand through a crowdfunding IndieGoGo campaign that kicks off February 22 at Bubbly Paws at Excelsior and Grand. St. Peter's Elementary Open House & Learning Fair

St. Peter's Lutheran Elementary School Open House & Learning Fair begins with a complimentary dinner.  Next, visit each classroom to learn about a different state.  Our teachers will be providing educational activities for your student as well as answering your questions.  St. Peter's Elementary School provides for Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
