Music has the power to bring about harmony with its harmonies. So be sure to check out the Edina Chorale and the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir as they jointly present “The Soul of Gospel.” This concert will be a celebration of African-American musical traditions from deeply moving slave songs to spirituals as well as traditional and contemporary gospel melodies. The gospel singing performances will be under the direction of Grammy award winning artist Gary Hines, music director and producer of Sounds of Blackness. The Hurst Family Experience will also perform and the concert is preceded by a social hour with light refreshments.
