Still basking in the glow of her Album of the Year Grammy win, country artist Kacey Musgraves was graced with perhaps an even greater honor this week: Headliner for the 2019 Basilica Block Party.
The annual two-day music festival, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is no stranger to big names, drawing acts like Brandi Carlile, Weezer, Father John Misty and more in years past.
This year, in addition to Musgraves, the first day of the festival (July 12) will feature Dawes, Anderson East and Ruston Kelly on the main stage. Local groups Semisonic, The Jayhawks and Yam Haus will play on the PreferredOne Stage.
The festival's second day brings even more big-name acts, with Jason Mraz, Hanson, JOHNNYSWIM and Lissie playing the Great Clips Stage. The PreferredOne lineup for day two is as follows: CHVRCHES, Metric and Flora Cash.
Acts for the tertiary stage, named for festival sponsor the Star Tribune, have not yet been announced.
Tickets for the Basilica Block Party go on sale Friday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. It's $60 for a single-day general admission pass, or $110 for both days. They can be purchased on the Basilica Block Party website.
