When Melissa Hunzelman took this photo titled Puppy Love, the Hunzelman’s puppy Buddy was brand new. “I think we had only had him two weeks at this point,” Hunzelman says. “He was just the most adorable thing so we were taking lots of pictures.” This one was submitted to the 2017 Images of Edina photo contest.
Hunzelman started taking photos in a high school elective course and instantly fell in love with the craft. “I loved the dark room,” she says. “I loved everything about it.”
Buddy’s wide, innocent eyes might suggest a calm, well-behaved dog, but according to Hunzelman, this is far from the truth. “He’s like a Tasmanian devil who’s a toddler,” she says. In this photo Buddy had just left a deposit on the floor. “This was his ‘I’m sorry, Mom’ face,” Hunzelman says.
Buddy didn’t win the 2017 Images of Edina photo contest, but we can’t deny the cute-factor in this photo. Well behaved or not, who could stay mad at that face?
