It’s not easy to track the rising popularity of escape rooms. From a gaming trend in Kyoto, Japan, to one of the biggest casual party scenes in the U.S., escape rooms today sit at the top of tourist destinations on TripAdvisor.com for New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle and other metro areas.

A few years ago, the city of Edina reached out to Public Art Edina to find unique and fun ways to enhance the city. From there, the idea of having wrapped utility boxes was born. “There are currently six wrapped utility boxes,” says Barbara La Valleur, former chair of Public Art Edina.

The Vintner Ball, now in its 12th year, will be hosted at the Edina Westin Galleria this month. At the event, you will be able to sip and sample more than 100 different wines hand-selected by the presenting sponsor, Kowalski’s.

Walker Methodist Care Suites in Edina hosts regular playgroups for dogs provided by Fresh Air Training. Dogs must be less than 20 pounds to participate; however, your bigger dog can come if it could use some encouragement.

Edina’s fashion-minded Wendy Witherspoon decided to launch a service called Prink Style to help tween girls find fun, unique clothes that match their personal style. Her young clients take a style quiz to help discover a personal style that will enhance their self-confidence.
